Women entrepreneurs in India  have come a long way. Women entrepreneurs deals with the female section, who initiates and manages their business independently by gathering all resources and facing many challenges specially in India. Around 1/3rd of the entrepreneurs in the world are women entrepreneurs. Women develops herself due to growth in their education and awareness of democratic values. Women entrepreneurs has various qualities like accepting challenges, hard work, patience, ambitious and many more. But in India, women have to face many problems to get ahead their life in business. They face a series of problems due to their responsibility toward their family, society and work. Peculiar problems like traditions, customs, motherhood, physically weak, feeling of insecurity come across when they jump into this entrepreneurship. In many regions of India, there is a male dominating society where people thought that business and all are made for men, women are only made for household works. In these regions women have generally lack of education, lack of self-confidence due to family ties. Women entrepreneurs also have low loss bearing capacity due to fear of blaming by everyone if by chance they fail in setting up their business.


In all areas of India, right efforts are required in the development of women entrepreneurs and their greater participation in entrepreneurial activities.

For the development of women entrepreneurs, here are some efforts that can be applied:
1. Consider women as the main target for all developmental programs.
2. Women should give better education facilities and education schemes should be extended by government for women.
3. Adequate training programs on management skills to be provided to women community.  
4. They must be supported by their families.
5. Encourage women participation in decision making.
6. women entrepreneurs must be given the necessary freedom.
7. Economic support should be provided.





Due to growth in literacy level, Industrial and economic growth and awareness of democratic values women entrepreneurship is increasing day by day.
